Here is a brave lady Smt Mahadevi wife of 33-year-old brave-heart soldier Lance Naik Hanumanthappa Koppada who lost the battle for life three days after he was rescued from a Siachen glacier at the world's highest and coldest battlefield where he was buried under 35 feet in ice for six days after an avalanche struck his camp on February 3.

Koppad's wife Mahadevi, mother Basavva, daughter of 18 months baby Netra were presented two cheques at KSCA club on Sunday night as a small relief by Kannada film directors Association, Legendary Man Company Gajanand and actor Vijay. Dhuniya Vijay written the cheque on the spot and handed over was a great gesture. Sometime back the KFCC handed over Rs.1 lakh cheque to the family members of brave soldier.

Addressing the media Smt Mahadevi in simple words stated that she married Hanumanthappa after watching Sainik film ‘Muththina Haara’.

Dhuniya Vijay in his address stated that he had seen Bharatha Maathe – mother of Hanumanthappa Basavva and Bharathaambe Smt Mahadevi together at one place. Vijay was emotional at this point of time.

One minute mourning was held for demise of soldier Hanumanthappa Koppada.
